At Pets4U we realize that breeders all have very different opinions about what is and is not responsible breeding. Therefore, we are providing our standards for breeders that list on this web site. Since these requirements may not fit your opinion, or standards of practice, we understand that you may not agree with them, however, if you wish to list on this site, you will be required to follow them.

We have several methods of identifying breeders that we consider to be "questionable".

1. How many different types of dogs do they breed?

• At pets4U we expect that our breeders will breed a limited number of breeds. We realize that other people will sometimes breed a several different breeds, but as a policy they will not be able to use our services.
• Breeders that list here are required to provide proper socialization to puppies, as well as an application that they require potential customers to fill out, which you(the breeder) will be required to send us.

2. How many litters do they have available in a year ?

• a reputable breeder will a limited number of litters per year.
• a puppy mill will find ways to squeeze as many litters out a year in an effort to maximize profits. Most litters will be improperly socialized and will be living in conditions that breed aggression, disease, and overall mistrust of other animals and humans.

3. What have the breeders previous customers had to say about them ?

• We want to know what your previous customers have had to say about you. When you register with us, we will ask that you send us at least 2 letters of reccomendation from previous customers.

4. Have we here at Pets4U.com received any complaints about the breeder ?

• breeders are our main business, but animal welfare and customer satisfaction are our main goals. If we have customers that make complaints against a breeder on our site, we take that very seriously.

Failure to comply with any of these requirements will result in your ads being removed and your account deactivated. Pets4U.com reserves the right to remove any breeder at any time for any reason.
